Adding that ever since the race for a zika vaccine began finally "We hope to announce the arrival of Zikavac to the world as early as possible,"
 

The Untold Story About Zika Virus
 
The Zika virus is spread by mosquitoes of the Aedes genus, which is now being linked to genetically modified mosquitoes developed by the British biotech company Oxitec, founded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The company has been releasing the genetically modified Aedes mosquitoes into the wild in Brazil since 2011 in a bid to combat dengue fever. About two million genetically modified mosquitoes are produced a week in its factory in Campinas, Brazil.

Aedes aegypti mosquito being the world’s most dominant variety of mosquito, but with only Canada and Chile being the Countries in Americas with out this mosquito. These Aedes genus transmitting agents can breed in a pool of water little as a bottle cap and usually bite during the day. The mosquito-transmitted infection is related to Dengue, Yellow Fever and West Nile virus.


Since october Brazil has recorded only 270 of 4,180 suspected cases confirmed as microcephaly, and 462 cases ruled out.  Researchers are still studying 3,448 cases of increase in babies with incomplete brain. But the vaccine manufacturer are focusing on scaling up and characterization of the vaccine product.
